Judge Allen is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and Salmon P Chase College of Law. He has practiced or adjudicated workers’ compensation claims for the last 28 years, working as an associate attorney at the law firm of Riley and Allen, PSC in Prestonsburg, and Jones and Jones, PLLC in Pikeville. He served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims from 2013 to 2016, and again from 2022 to present. Judge Allen has been a speaker at several conferences and seminars relating to topics in Kentucky workers’ compensation.
